The Preble Community Food Pantry
The Preble Community Food Pantry makes its home in the Preble Congregational UCC. Everyone is welcome. There are no requirements; we ask no personal information and there is no sign in. Food and hygiene items are freely offered.
The Pantry is open the third Thursday of every month, 4pm - 6pm. Access to the Pantry is through the front doors of the church. Each adult patron entering the Pantry is provided with two plastic bags. Patrons may fill these two bags with items of their choosing.
The Preble Community Food Pantry remains open by the grace of God and blessings from our community, neighboring communities, local businesses and the congregation of this church. Blessings include prayers, donations of food and hygiene items, financial donations, and donations of time and energy. We are grateful for your prayers. We are grateful for all donated blessings.
Perishable (produce) items may be brought to the Pantry on open pantry days from about 3pm to 5pm. Non perishable items ay be brought to the Pantry on open pantry days from about 3pm to 6pm and also to the pantry while the church is open on Sundays. Arrangements can also be made for drop off or pick up by calling Lou at 607-423-7648. Financial donations can be sent to: Preble Congregational UCC, 1953 Preble Road, Preble, NY 13141 or offered during the church service collection. Volunteers may come to the Pantry on open Pantry days at any time from about 3pm to 6pm. Stay as short as time as you wish and you will not be asked to do anything until you feel comfortable. Volunteer once or as often as you wish. Duties include organizing supplies, supplying the shelves, handing out bags, helping with carry out, and cleaning up at closing time.
